Elite Christmas Lights: Who We Are and What Our Crew Does

Elite Christmas Lights is the Metzger family crew from Elite Soft Wash. Here is who we are, what we handle from design to January takedown, and where we work.

By Brandon Metzger ·

Quick answer: Elite Christmas Lights is Brandon Metzger and his sons, the same family crew behind Elite Soft Wash. We design your display, install commercial grade C9 LEDs, fix anything that goes dark all season, then take it all down in January and store it. We work across Fort Wayne, Warsaw and the towns in between.

If you are looking into Elite Christmas Lights, you want to know who is behind the name before you let anyone on your roof. Fair enough. Here is the straight answer: we are the Metzger family, and we handle your Christmas lights from the first design to the January takedown, so you never touch a ladder.

This post covers who we are, how we got here, what the service includes and where we work. No sales pitch. Just the facts a neighbor would want.

Who is behind Elite Christmas Lights?

Elite Christmas Lights is me, Brandon Metzger, and my sons. We are the same local family crew behind Elite Soft Wash in Silver Lake, Indiana. There is no call center, no franchise and no subcontractors. The family that quotes your house is the family that hangs your lights.

That matters when someone is climbing onto your roof in November. You know who is up there. You know who to call if something looks off. And you are not handed off to a crew you have never met.

A few things you can check for yourself. The family company is A+ accredited by the Better Business Bureau. We have been featured on WANE 15's Living Local. And the Elite family has more than 290 five star Google reviews across northern Indiana on the Elite Soft Wash profile, including reviews about our Christmas light work. You can read what our neighbors say and then look on Google yourself.

We are also fully insured. For commercial jobs, we can send a certificate of insurance on request.

How did a soft wash family end up hanging Christmas lights?

We started cleaning homes as Elite Soft Wash in 2021. That work put us on rooflines, gutters and siding all over northern Indiana. We learned how houses are built, where the tricky spots are and how to work high up safely.

Customers kept asking if we did Christmas lights. So last season, in 2025, we hung our first displays. I want to be honest about that: the lighting side is new. The cleaning business is older, and the family is the same.

This season we are going all in. Before the season, I trained in person with ChristmasLights.io, the team behind a community of more than 43,000 light installers across the country. We wanted to learn the right way to do this, not guess at it on your house.

What does Elite Christmas Lights include, from design to January?

Professional holiday lighting is a service, not a box of strands. You are hiring a crew to plan it, hang it, keep it working and put it away. Here is how a season goes with us.

Step 1: Design and a free quote

You reach out, and we get you a free quote within 24 hours. We plan the display around your house: the roofline, the peaks, the trees and bushes you want lit. You approve the design and the exact price before anything goes up.

Four things decide the price: how long and how tall your roofline is, how many trees, bushes and extras you want, how hard the access is (steep pitches and tricky spots), and how much of the property you want lit.

Step 2: Install day

We bring commercial grade C9 LED lights, custom cut to fit your roofline. That is why the lines look clean and straight, with no extra cord bunched at the corners. We supply the lights, so we do not hang customer owned strands. That way we know every bulb and every run is built for the job.

Everything goes up with commercial clips rated for wind and snow. Clips hold the lights tight without staples or nails, so your shingles and gutters stay in one piece. Every package also includes a timer. The sun sets before five here in December, and your house should already be glowing when you pull in the driveway.

Plenty of people hang their own lights, and that is fine. Just know the real risks: a ladder on a frosty morning, a slick roof after the first snow, and wind off the lakes that does not care how careful you are. That is the part we take off your plate.

Step 3: Free fixes all season

If a bulb or a section goes dark, call us. The crew comes back and fixes it at no charge. Mid-season service calls are never billed.

Step 4: January takedown

After the holidays, we come back in January and take it all down. You do not have to climb up in the cold to unclip frozen strands. Takedown is always included.

Step 5: Storage and next season

Your custom cut display gets labeled and stored at our facility. Next fall, we put the same display back on your house. Returning customers keep their install date and their exact display, so there is nothing to redesign.

What is included with every professional display?

What you getWhat it means for you
Commercial grade C9 LEDsBright, even light custom cut to your roofline
Install by an insured local crewThe Metzger family on your roof, not strangers
Commercial clips rated for wind and snowStraight lines that hold up to an Indiana winter
A timerLights come on by themselves every evening
Free fixes all seasonA dark section gets fixed at no charge
January takedownNobody in your family climbs a ladder in the cold
Off-season storageYour display is labeled, stored and ready for next year

Seasonal display or permanent roofline lighting: which one do we install?

We do both. Here is the simple difference.

  • Seasonal display: C9 LEDs go up in the fall, stay lit through the holidays and come down in January. Trees, bushes and wreaths can be part of it.
  • Permanent roofline lighting: installed once and controlled from your phone. Holiday colors in December, and accent lighting the rest of the year, like blue and white for a Colts Sunday.

If you love a classic warm white roofline with lit trees and wreaths, seasonal is a great fit. If you want lights for every holiday without anyone coming back each fall, take a look at permanent Christmas lights. We can talk through both when we quote your home.
