Roanoke sits right on U.S. Highway 24 between Huntington and Fort Wayne, which puts it square in the middle of our week. We are based between Fort Wayne and Warsaw, and the crews run routes through the service-area towns every week of the season. That is the part people care about most: if a section of your roofline goes dark on a Tuesday in December, somebody is already coming through.
We are Brandon Metzger and his sons, the same family behind Elite Soft Wash in Silver Lake. No call center, no franchise, no subcontractors. We started cleaning homes in 2021, hung our first Christmas light displays last season, and this year we are going all in. The family has more than 290 five star Google reviews across northern Indiana, and the company is A+ accredited by the Better Business Bureau.
If you want a number for your house, call (260) 544-5900 or ask for a free quote. You get the design and the exact price before anything goes on the roof.

What do I get when Elite hangs Christmas lights on my Roanoke house?
This is a service, not a box of lights. We supply everything, and we do not hang customer-owned strands. That keeps the whole display matched, the bulb spacing even and the wire hidden.
Every install includes the same things, whether you have a ranch on a side street or a two story with dormers:
- Commercial grade C9 LED lights, custom cut to your roofline so there is no leftover strand dangling at the corner
- Professional installation by an insured local crew, clipped with commercial clips rated for wind and snow
- A timer, so the lights come on before you get home and shut off on their own
- Free in-season maintenance visits: a bulb or a section goes dark, we come back and fix it at no charge
- January takedown, then labeled storage of your display at our facility until next season
When should I book, and when do the lights actually go up?
Book in September or October. The install calendar fills by early November, and the best dates go to returning customers first. Installs start in late October and early November so the lights are up and ready before Thanksgiving.
Lights going up in late October does not mean they are burning in October. We hang them while the weather still lets us work clean and safe, then you flip the timer on whenever you want. Around here the sun is gone before five in December, so most folks are glad they did not wait.
Commercial properties go first. Storefronts, restaurants, offices and HOAs claim the October dates so they are lit before Thanksgiving shopping starts. If you run a business along the highway, get on the list early. More on timing in our guide on when to book Christmas light installation.
What does it cost in Roanoke?
Most Fort Wayne homes fall between $1,500 and $2,500 all inclusive for a full roofline install with takedown and storage included. Roofline packages start at $600. Trees, bushes and wreaths are quoted per item.
There are three packages. The Roofline runs $600 to $1,500 and covers the front roofline. Best on the Street runs $1,500 to $2,500 and covers the full roofline, peaks and dormers plus wreaths, garland or lit bushes. The Showstopper starts at $2,500 and is a full property design with wrapped trees and lit landscaping. Every package includes a timer, free fixes all season, January takedown and off-season storage.
Four things move the number: roofline length and height, trees and bushes and extras, access such as steep pitches and tricky spots, and how much of the property you want lit. Takedown, storage and mid-season service calls are never charged. The full breakdown is on our cost page.
Why not just hang them myself?
Plenty of people do, and we are not going to knock them for it. But be honest about what the job is here. You are on a ladder in November wind, on a roof that may already have frost on it, working with strands that were never built to sit outside through an Indiana winter. Falls off ladders in cold weather are how people end up in an emergency room instead of at a Christmas dinner.
Then there is the back half of the job. Somebody has to take it all down in January, when it is colder and the roof is worse. That is the part homeowners forget when they price out a bin of box store strands. With us, takedown is already paid for and already scheduled.
And the display itself lasts. Because your set is custom cut and labeled, returning customers keep their install date and their exact display year after year. Year two is the same house, the same look, no measuring again.
What do neighbors say about the crew?
We would rather let customers talk. Scott Daeger said, "They did a fantastic job on our house and detached garage this morning. Highly recommend them. Our house has never looked so nice and clean."
Trace Hansen said, "Excellent work and great service. The day after completion, they stopped by and noticed a spot needing touch up. They called me to let me know and took care of it. Great price and workmanship." Andy Tomasik said, "Guys did a great job. They moved items that were in the way and put them back!"
Before this season Brandon trained in person with ChristmasLights.io, the team behind a community of 43,000+ light installers nationwide. You can read more about our family or see the rest of the reviews.

Roanoke Christmas Light Questions
Yes. Roanoke and the 46783 ZIP are inside our service area, which covers towns within about 45 minutes of Fort Wayne or Warsaw, including Huntington just down U.S. 24. Call (260) 544-5900 and we will get you a free quote back within 24 hours.
The price follows the house, not the town. Roofline packages start at $600, and most Fort Wayne homes land between $1,500 and $2,500 all inclusive. What moves it is roofline length and height, how many trees and bushes you add, access, and how much of the property you want lit. Takedown and storage are already in that price.
No, we supply the lights. We use commercial grade C9 LEDs cut to fit your specific roofline, and mixing in older strands is how displays end up uneven and half dark by mid-December. The set stays yours in the sense that it is labeled and stored for your house and reinstalled next season.
Call us and we fix it at no charge. In-season maintenance is included on every package. Our crews run routes through the service-area towns every week of the season, so getting back out to Roanoke is not a special trip.
We do, in January. The crew pulls the display, labels it and stores it at our facility through the off season, then reinstalls the same display on your house next year. Returning customers also keep their install date. You can read more on our takedown page.
